Kollin’s basketball journey began as a passionate player coming through the North Adams system. Learning from & spending time with the Williams College men’s team, Kollin built a relationship with then coach, Dave Paulsen, during their pursuit of a D3 National Championship in 2003.
After a successful career at Drury High School (2004 to 2007) under Jack Racette, Kollin’s first coaching experience was as a summer camp counselor at Williams College’s Berkshire Boys Basketball Camp. Shortly after graduating from Westfield State University in 2011, Kollin became increasingly involved with the North Adams Youth Basketball League.
With the NAYBL, Kollin started as a house league coach and an assistant to his former North Adams coach, James Shaker. Kollin’s role eventually expanded into board member, boys & girls travel coordinator, and head coach of the 7th & 8th grade boys travel team.
Coinciding with time spent in the NAYBL, Kollin founded a boys spring basketball program, the Northern Berkshire Phenoms. With the Phenoms, he coached several of Berkshire County’s strongest boys players from the classes of 2017 through 2022. The program helped develop the basketball and life skills of more than 50 of the county’s athletes, 15 one-thousand point scorers, and 11 athletes competing in various NCAA sports.
Kollin is excited to join the Pick Enroll coaching staff in the next step of his basketball life.
